What is baked makeup and what makes it different?

Our signature baked makeup starts as swirls of soft cream pigments, which are then artisan-baked in Italy on terracotta tiles for 24 hours. The result is a smooth formula that feels like a powder, but melts and blends into your skin for a soft, creamy feel. Unlike regular pressed powders or heavy liquid formulas, baked makeup offers color-correcting coverage and payoff with a lightweight and breathable feel. It also works great on mature skin, since it doesn't cake or crease! 

Can I use baked makeup on dry skin?

Baked makeup is suitable for all skin types. If you're struggling with dry skin, we recommend starting with the Hydrate version of our Spackle Skin Perfecting Primer for an extra burst of moisture before applying your baked products.

Do I need to use setting powder with baked foundations?

Nope! Your baked makeup shouldn't require extra setting powder to stay in place all day.

What are the benefits of baked makeup?

Thanks to the lightweight formula, baked makeup resists settling, creasing or caking into fine lines and wrinkles, so it's a wonderful choice for those with mature skin or other skin concerns.

Does baked makeup work well with my other makeup products?
